Who we are
This site is published by Your Meds UK, a pharmacy registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) in Great Britain. Every medicine we write about needs a valid UK prescription. You can check any pharmacy's registration on the GPhC register.
Where our information comes from
We use official and authoritative sources and link to them in every article:
- NHS medicine and condition pages
- MHRA Drug Safety Updates and safety alerts
- NICE guidance and Clinical Knowledge Summaries
- The Summary of Product Characteristics and Patient Information Leaflet for each medicine, published on the electronic medicines compendium (eMC)
- UK legislation for controlled drug status
Rules we follow
- We describe each medicine only within its UK licence and do not promote off-label uses.
- Medicine articles never contain prices, offers or links to buy a medicine, in line with UK rules that ban advertising prescription-only medicines to the public.
- Dose information is limited to what the official product information says, and we always tell you to follow your prescriber's instructions.
- Every article says when to get urgent help and how to report a side effect on the MHRA Yellow Card scheme.
How articles are written
Each article starts from the questions people in the UK search for. We review what already ranks for those questions, find what is missing or out of date, and then write from the official sources listed above. Articles are drafted with the help of AI writing tools and checked against those sources before publication.
Updates and corrections
Each article shows the date it was last updated. We review articles at least once a year and straight away when the MHRA publishes new safety advice about a medicine we cover. If you think something is wrong, please tell our pharmacy team so we can check and correct it.
